Polymer Vision Demos SVGA Rollable Screen

So, this is pretty amazing. I’ve chatted about bendable displays here a few times with Gary (@syd_oracle) and with Joel (@joelgarry), and it seems we’re on the verge of seeing some really fantastic innovation in that area. Very cool stuff, check out the video.

    Not clear yet if it’s touchable, but given that’s where the bar is set for screens now, I’d assume it will eventually support touch. How cool would that be?

    Interesting technology, but I’m not sure how useful it is.  Is the idea I roll it up like a newspaper and carry it around with me?

    Rolled up isn’t as useful as folded, which is where I think this is going. A foldable display that fits in a pocket and opens like a map would be much more valuable.
