At the sublime intersection of infographic and design, you’ll find this fascinating study of color mapped to relative intertubes power.

Not surprising to see blue and red in the 1 and 2 spots, but I didn’t realize how rare green and yellow were.
Interestingly, given its path in relative intertubes power, you’ll recall that Yahoo! began life with a red logo.
Of course Apple swapped the rainbow palate for the subtle gray tones one.
Anyway, fun stuff whether you’re a designer, a data visualization savant or just like pretty colors.

Billboard ads for E-ON (http://www.eon.com/en/39874.jsp) in the UK look like the slides used by Oracle in presentations (white background with red band at the bottom). Very unnerving. :)CheersTim…
So, you’re unnerved by Oracle’s presentations and slide decks or by the similarity or by both? Is the combination of red and white just plain scary to you?
Shall I ask about your mum next 🙂
The similarity is unnerving. They catch my eye and I double-take to see what this Oracle advert says, only to find it says something rubbish about saving a few pence on my electric bill.
Don’t mention it to my mother. She is white with a big red stripe across the bottom of her face and she’ll be offended…
I see. Does she preface every conversation with a safe harbor blurb 🙂
Of course. She’s not stupid you know. 🙂
Didn’t do the reply before, just added a new comment. Now the threading is all messed up. Need a pointer to the continuation of the thread. 🙂
Dunno, this fragmented version is funnier 🙂
Smart mums always preface their conversations with a disclaimer.
Her mates call her Safe Habor… 🙂
