We’re Number 45!

Eddie Awad today posted a list of Oracle blogs ranked by Technorati Authority. AppsLab is 45 on his list. The list ranks all the blogs he aggregates using OraNA aggregator. I have embedded his Google Spreadsheet below; Eddie, I hope that’s fine with you.

Tom Kyte, no surprise, is number 1. Eddie, Justin and Steven are 10, 11 and 12 respectively. I’m surprised to see Tim’s BI Publisher blog so far down the list (47); this blog is full of helpful tips and tricks for XML/BI Publisher, a wonderful tool for all Oracle customers, especially E-Business Suite customers. A long time ago, I used to customize Oracle Reports for R11. Not fun. So, I feel your pain; XML Publisher can set you free. Anyway, read Tim’s blog.

Thanks to Eddie for stroking our collective egos. Rock on.

  1. Hi Jake,
    This is interesting stats

You should also get your site listed on
    http://topsites.blogflux.com/technology/

Unlike Technorati that is based on links, topsites uses google like algorithm that ranks a site based on page views, hits, time a user spends on the site etc.

Coincidentally, my blog is 49 on topsites too 🙂

    Cheers

  3. Hi Jake
The positions are ranked by Technorati authority which a measure of the number of folks linking to your blog. Tom has a huge following and a subject close to many bloggers hearts. I have a liddle ol product to talk about, I have alot of regular readers but there are not that many bloggers writing about BI or BIP for that matter hence the low scores. Well thats my excuse and Im sticking to it …
    Cheers, Tim
