I got word today that the WebCenter iPhone app has been released to iTunes. You can get it here (iTunes link).
The app is free and requires 11g Release 1 Patchset 2.
Looking at the screen captures, it’s reminiscent of the Oracle People app that Clayton Donley built, with an activity stream, connections, profiles and groups.
I’m stoked to see stuff like this get out to customers. The team that built this app used the WebCenter REST APIs, which we also use heavily in tweaking the UI, the bookmarklet, and the Chrome extension and which John Sim used to build his AIR app.
It’s great to see WebCenter extend into new areas with its APIs. Expect more of that from our team and from other WebCenter developers.
Congrats to the team who built this iPhone app.
