For those of you who don’t know, there was a theory developed in recent years that in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Ferris is merely a figment of Cameron’s imagination, designed to help him break out of his reserved shell and actually live a little. The obvious comparison here is to Fight Club, and so the theory has been nicknamed The Ferris Bueller Fight Club Theory.
Count me among those who don’t know. I love that some geeks out there cooked up this entirely plausible and awesome theory, intersecting two of my favorite movies.
And then put it online, with a sweet trailer to prove their hypothesis.
