CoreToon: Things To Hang On Your Wall – Core77
Thinking about this, how many reality shows profile jobs like those in the cartoon? I can think of a dozen offhand. We’re oddly drawn to watching Alaskan crabbers, truckers, coal miners, loggers, restaurant workers, etc.
The only cubicle dweller show I can think of offhand is The Office.
I wonder if a reality show set in a corporate office could work, politics, intrigue, office romance.
Thoughts?
I might be able to create 4 shows worth of material from the last 4 years. Would be a fun exercise, to write a corporate office screenplay. You game?
I’m sure you have some stories to tell. I’d watch shows like that, but I wonder if anyone would take a shot. After all, the world of beige and gray cubicles and fluorescent lights pales in comparison to a coal mine. Not much physical danger or visual appeal 🙁
It all devolves into the dilbert tv show. Who even remembers that? UPN highest rated primetime comedy, won an emmy. And most of the material was crowdsourced.

I remember the Dilbert cartoon; it was highly entertaining, as is the comic. I wonder if non-office workers would find office comedy, reality or drama entertaining. That could be the larger problem, so maybe it needs to start small and build a following first.
OK, start small. Use
XTranormal, build a following (if it is worth a crap) then land a real gig just. Easy, right? 🙂
