After a very successful Scavenger Hunt at Kscope15, we are back with an Oracle OpenWorld and JavaOne edition. This time we partnered with the Oracle Technology Network (@oracleotn) folks to give Oracle OpenWorld (@oracleopenworld) and JavaOne (@javaoneconf) attendees a fun experience, and with even more chances of winning.
The OTN Community Quest was designed to be a win-win experience. We ask attendees to do certain tasks, you learn along the way, have fun and get a chance to win great prizes.
There are two types of tasks during the Quest:
- Tweet a “selfie” along with two hashtags: #otnquest and [#taskshashtag], i.e. the hashtag of the task.
- Scan a “Smart Sticker” on the Raspberry Pi scanner to validate a task. Stop by the OTN Lounges to get your “Smart Sticker.”
You can either just do the twitter tasks, the Raspberry Pi tasks or both, but the more tasks you do, the greater chance you will have to win one of these prizes:
Grand prize (GoPro Hero4), first prize (Basis Peak), second, third, and fourth prizes (Amazon Echo).
The prize drawing will take place on Wednesday, October 28 at 4:45 PM, OTN Lounge in Moscone South. Need not to be present to win, but must pick up prizes at the OTN Lounge in Moscone South by 2 PM on Thursday, October 29.
Register here or stop by the OTN Lounge in the Moscone South lobby or the Info Desk in the OTN Community Cafe in the Java Hub at JavaOne. If you register online and want to complete the Raspberry Pi tasks with the “Smart Sticker,” you’ll need to come by either of those locations to get the sticker.
